STALEMATE AT THE EMIRATES

Before the last match against the French side, Arsene Wenger claimed that he would be happy with four points from the two matches. Following this result, that's exactly what they have, but the Gunners boss will feel his side could have taken all three points tonight and guaranteed qualification. Both sides had their chances in an open and enthralling game, but ultimately there were no real chances of note.

ARSENAL skinned-alive

IT was one of the most painful experience ever after watching my favourite team Arsenal being humiliated and slaughtered alive 2-8 by Sir Alex Ferguson's side at Old Trafford two weeks ago still fresh in my mind. Yes the Gunners was totally outclassed in every department with Wayne Rooney scoring a hattrick, Ashley Young double, Danny Wallbeck and Park Ji Sung a goal a piece.

ARSENAL WALKING ON TIGHTROPE DESPITE A 1-0 WIN AGAINST UDINESE

THE first five minutes it was the Arsenal side that we used to watch. But the next 85 minutes it was totally bizarre, a different looks of the Arsenal side that played against Udinese in the qualifying Champions League match at the Emirates last night.

Despite winning 1-0 through an early goal by Theo Walcott, the return-leg would be likely a hell of 90 minutes for the Arsene Wenger side to book a place in the group Champions League match. The Italians surely will go for an all out assault with the backing of their home fans.

ARSENAL AT LOSS WITH FABREGAS AND NASRI LEAVES EMIRATES

Cesc back to Barca
WHAT a start for Arsenal. Just 24 hours before the new season 2011/2012 kick-off. Arsene Wenger will not have their two best players, captain Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri in the team travel to Newcastle on Saturday.

Samir joins City
With Fabregas is back with his childhood team Barcelona and Nasri joining big spenders Manchester City,  the Gunners will be churning a huge sum of 60 million pound in the bank from the sale of both players.

With the qualifying Champions League is still on the line when Arsenal faced tricky Italian side Udinese next week, Arsene Wenger future with the club look certain to be on the microscopic table with the results looks to decide the Frenchman fate.

With no news of any big signings made by Wenger yet, it seems the Gunners fan will just have to settle with the current squad to deliver except Gervinho.

FAR East Asian Pre-Season Tour could damage Arsenal reputation - Guardian UK

An article wrote in a British tabloid today that stated -

Arsenal's put reputation at risk with pre-season tour of Malaysia

• Malaysian football has been engulfed by match-fixing scandals

has tarnished the image of the Arsenal's Malaysian fans here. The writer should check their source well before publishing the article. Those who was arrested are from the club' s coaching staff and bookmakers which involve in the reserve league and not our Malaysian Super League. To make things worse. They just straight jump to conclusion to name Malaysia, China, Thailand and Singapore as the match-fixing capitals. Just look at the fans here (picture) how strong the support we have here.
``Declan Hill, the academic and author of The Fix, an influential investigation into corruption in sport, told Digger that Arsenal's tour of Malaysia and China puts them at the heart of a region where match-fixing is a problem, running big risks for their own reputation. "China, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand are match-fixing capitals," said Hill.

CLICHY ON THE MOVE TO CITY

Manchester City are confident that the Arsenal left-back Gaël Clichy will become their first signing of the summer, but they have distanced themselves from reports that they are also trying to persuade Arsenal into a £20m deal for Samir Nasri.
The two clubs have agreed a £7m fee for Clichy and the player is expected to arrive in Manchester early next week. But there have been no high-level talks about Nasri's potential availability and none are planned.
The two clubs have agreed a £7m fee for Clichy and the player is expected to arrive in Manchester early next week. But there have been no high-level talks about Nasri's potential availability and none are planned.

City will be relieved to conclude the deal for Clichy, who was the subject of a £5m bid from Liverpool last week, after a difficult start to their summer transfer business that saw them concede defeat to Barcelona in the signing of Udinese's Chile forward Alexis Sánchez.

ARSENAL NEW AWAY KIT

BLUE is the colour. No, not at Chelsea, but with Arsenal.

Theo Walcott and Thomas Vermaelen will wear a new turquoise and navy away kit for the coming season and at least it will take the fans' minds off wondering if skipper Cesc Fabregas is going to stay or head off to sunnier shores.

The strip features a new 125th anniversary crest, inspired by the club's first crest and the current one.

ARSENAL ON SHOPPING LIST ALVAREZ AND GERVINHO

Ricardo Alavarez and Gervinho

ARSENAL are ready to make an £11million swoop for the new Cesc Fabregas - Argy midfielder Ricardo Alvarez.

A highly-placed source said: "He is definitely of interest.
"There has been no deal with his club Velez Sarsfield but it is true the club have been looking at Alvarez."
Arsenal were in talks for the 23-year-old last month but negotiations stalled after Emirates executive Richard Law was quoted £11m by Velez president Fernando Raffaini.

Also on Arsene Wenger radar is GERVINHO who seems to inch his way closer to a £12million switch to Arsenal last night after Lille admitted: He wants to move to the Emirates.

The Gunners could land the 24-year-old Ivory Coast striker in the next few days as his French club need to raise money to buy St Etienne winger Dimitri Payet.

ARSENE WENGER IS FEELING THE HEAT - REDKNAPP

Arsene Wenger ..feeling the heat
ARSENE WENGER has resembled a man on the edge in recent weeks, as his Arsenal team have lost in the cups and passed up opportunities in the league. Even he might accept that Arsenal title hopes would be officially over if they failed to win the north London derby match at White Hart Lane about 2.45 am today on what promises to be another highly charged occasion.

Spurs manager Harry Redknapp believes that the pressure is telling on Wenger more obviously than in previous seasons but, if theirs is a relationship shaped by the rivalry between their clubs, then Redknapp, one suspects, would have no qualms about deepening his angst and misery.
