JENS LEHMANN GUIDE ARSENAL FOR 3-1 WIN AGAINST BLACKPOOL

ARSENAL'S invincible keeper Jens Lehman aged 41 made a shocking returns for his 200th appearance with Arsenal under Arsene Wenger at Bloomfield road against Blackpool yesterday. Lehman mark his return after Manuel Almunia injured his knee during the warm-up session before the match and guide Arsenal for their first win after six matches in all competition.


The 3-1 win put Arsenal trailing league leaders Manchester United by seven points and with a game in hand. Manchester United will meet neighbours Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final while Arsenal will entertain Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool side at the Emirates both matches will play on Sunday.


Arsenal took a 1-0 lead as early in the 18th minute when captain Cesc Fábregas long range pass found Robin Van Persie far side on the left. The Dutch striker race into the box square in a perfect pass for Diaby to side-foot home. Three minutes later Emmanuel Eboue broke down the right exchanged a quick pass with Wilshere and finished it off perfectly with his left foot past the helpless Richard Kingson.
 In the second half the home side started brightly and began to press forward with some nice build-up. Referee Lee Mason played two excellent advantages in the build-up for their first goal. First Jack Wilshere caught Luke Varney in the center circle and then when Lehmann dive and caught Campbell as the Blackpool striker try to moved past him. But the fell nicely for Taylor-Fletcher to guide the ball into the empty net in the 52nd minute.
But Blackpool defence was caught flat on the counter-attack when substitute Theo Walcott broke down the right and crossed for Van Persie to add Arsenal's third with a sublime finish in 72nd minute.
