Everton playing at home are in a tremendous form lately for David Moyes's men was unbeaten in their last seven matches. And they looks likely to extend their fine run early in the match.  Tim Cahill mistimed his leap which saw his header slightly off the target after a superb-cross by youngster Seamus Coleman from the right in the 12th minute.

But Arsenal's responded well to take a 1-0 lead. Samir Nasri cut in inside the box from the right and let fly a-left-footed drive which was parried away by Tim Howard. Andre Arshavin was the first to react on the rebound. The Little Russian quick turns and played the ball back for the onrushing Bacary Sagna to fire home an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.

Just three minutes into the second-half, Arsenal double the lead through Cesc Fabregas. Maroune Chamakh finds Fabregas at the edge of the box and the Spaniard hits a left footed low drive past Tim Howard.

Moyes brought in Jermaine Beckford into the side and the substitution nearly paid off when the striker lashed in a shot on the turn but Fabianski made a splendid save to deny the striker in 80th minutes.

The home-side continued to press on and Louis Saha perfectly placed shot was turn away equally well by the impressive Fabianski in the 87th minute. Before Tim Cahill slugged in a late goal  in injury time but it was a little to late to stage for a dramatic comeback.
