CHELSEA TRIUMPH AT THE EMIRATES

Poor Koscielny...two costliest mistake saw Arsenal beaten run came to end

ARSENAL saw their unbeaten run in five matches came to an end after suffering to their first home defeat at the Emirates to European Champions, Chelsea in a London derby match.

Two goals both from set pieces in each half was enough for Roberto Di Matteo side to avenge their 5-3 loss last season.

Gervinho scored but it's not good enough

Fernando Torres give Chelsea  the lead in the 20th min when he connected a Juan Mata free-kick before Arsenal drew level just few minutes before half-time after Alex Oxlade Chamberlain supply in a cross for Gervinho to drill in a shot past Petr Cech.

When the game looks to go either way after the break another Juan Mata free-kick saw the on-rushing defender Laurent Koscielny deflected past Vito Mannone at the far post. Arsenal surge forward searching for the equaliser and nearly paid off. Chelsea must be grateful to Petr Cech maintaining the lead on two occasion.

Lukas Podolski glancing header from Kieran Gibbs cross looks to going in but Peter Cech made a stunning save to push the ball away. Late in injury time substitute Oliver Giroud has a great chance to save Arsenal from their first defeat again his finishing touch let him down just went off target.
