ARSENAL - BACK IN BUSINESS

ARSENAL back on track for the Premier League Title with a hard fought 3-1 away win against Stoke City at the Brittania Stadium yesterday. With the win Arsenal with 58 points close in the gap with the two front runners Chelsea (61), trailing by three points and Manchester United (60) by two points.

But the win was overshadowed by the horrific injury suffered by the 19-year-old Aaron Ramsey in the 72nd minute after 50-50 challenge against Stoke City defender, Ryan Shawcross with the match still at 1-1.
The match was stopped for nearly 7 minutes for Ramsey who was stretchered out into the waiting ambulance outside the stadium to the nearest hospital. When the match  resume back,  the home side played with 10 men after Shawcross was shown the red card by the referee Robert Walton.

Arsenal's captain Cesc Fabregas then gave Arsenal a 2-1 lead with a well taken penalty but the visitor was still in shocked not in the mood for celebration.

Defender Thomas Vermalaen then tapped in a late goal in the match to avenge defeat in Arsenal  last two visit at the Brittania Stadium.

ARSENAL - CLINGING ON THE TITLE RACE

ARSENAL still hanging on for the Premier League Title race when they shrugged off Steve Bruce's side Sunderland 2-0 at the Emirates. The Gunners remain third behind Manchester United with two points while current league leaders Chelsea by six points.

After some uncharasteristics performance in midweek, Arsenal pull themselves together to notch a morale-booster win over Sunderland with a subsequently below par performance and should consider lucky if distracted Black Cat's striker Kenwyn Jones reported been pursued by Liverpool have not been sharp enough.

Goals by Nicklas Bendtner in the first half and late goal by captain Cesc Fabregas ensured Arsenal still remain in the hunt for league title. Meanwhile both defender Sol Campbell and goalkeeper Fabianski whose blunders in the Champions League defeat against FC Porto were not in the starting line-up with Almunia and Slyvestre taking over their places respectively.

SCHOOLBOYS ERROR - 2-1 DEFEAT TO FC PORTO

ARSENAL..ARSENAL..what in the world happen to you. Its doesn't make sense at all. How can you let go that kind of goals. One is okay but two is too much. Arsene Wenger's men need to stop the rot or they will be out of the Champions League this season.

Poor Sol Campbell..regardless his header..the former England defender did try in vain to help Arsenal to be where they were before but despite his age Arsene Wenger is asking too much from him.

But the away goal Sol scored might prove decisive and in the return leg at the Emirates if Arsenal win 1-0, the Gunners will go through in the semi-final.

Meanwhile goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski position in goal  against Sunderland at the Emirates this coming Saturday still in the dark for manager Arsene Wenger might consider back  Manuel Almunia as his replacement.

ABOU DIABY RESTORED ARSENAL PRIDE

ARSENAL midfielder Abou Diaby stunning header brought huge smile at the Emirates as the Gunners edged Liverpool 1-0 in the Battle of the Big Fours to avenge their two straight defeat against League leaders Chelsea and Manchester United.

Arsenal looks rather shaky and still feeling the blues and red faces in the early part of the match. But once Abou Diaby scored, they began to looks like the team we used to see. At least three points out of possible nine is just good enough.

DROGBA D' ESTROYER

DIDIER Drogba once again pull off another magnificent display when the Ivorian single handed sent Arsenal young stallions packing at Stamford Bridge scoring two goals to put Chelsea back at top of the Premier League two points ahead Manchester United on Sunday.

Arsene Wenger's men should consider themselves lucky not to go down by three nil if Drogba 's free-kick have not went in instead rattling the crossbar which brought huge relief to the travelling Arsenal fans.

Arsenal hoping to put behind their frustration after losing 3-1 to Manchester United earlier find some difficulity in getting past the Chelsea defence which stood firm like a brickwall lead by the Blues captain John Terry.

When the visitor thought they are already in the game, Carlo Ancelotti's side  then shocked Arsenal when they took a 1-0 lead from a corner kick which left unmarked Didier Drogba at the far post easily wipe in past Almunia from John Terry header.

Still Arsene Wenger's side never learned from previous matches as they continued to pile up the pressure they were suddenly caught on the break. England's midfielder Frank Lampard break through the semi-circle find Drogba on the right. With one swift move the striker cut in past two defender before blasting a thunderous left-footer past the baffled Almunia for his second in the match.

In the second half, the Gunner's tried in vain lead by captain's Cesc Fabregas  fo save the match but seems to lack of ideas whenever they come to face with the home side defence. The visitor should have consider themselves lucky not to suffer a much heavier defeat.

Another loss against the inform visiting Liverpool side at the Emirates on Wednesday could subsequently ended Arsenal hopes for the title.

ARSENAL MISSION - GUNDOWN THE BLUES

ARSENAL badly need to win their next two matches starting with current Premier League Leaders Chelsea today at Stamford Bridge and back in form Livepool at the Emirates in order to stay in contention for the elusive League Title.

Arsene Wenger need at least four points, a draw against Chelsea and a win against Liverpool or the best the Gunners could do is by taking maximum of six points to cover their loss again Manchester United last Sunday and a draw against Aston Villa earlier.

It is easy to say than done with Chelsea playing at Stamford Bridge and the Blues are raring  to claw back at the top of the Premier League after defending champions Manchester United whitewashed Portsmouth 5-0 to top the table.

Meanwhile resurgent Liverpool too suddenly are back in fourth spot with a 1-0 win over city neighbours Everton and I must say Arsene Wenger's men now are facing the moment of truth if they are really really mean business this season for the silverware. Further losses  signal  the end of their Premiership title campaign for good. But as a true Gunners fans come on guys show your stuff and beat em.

RED DEVIL' S DASHED ARSENAL HOPES

MANCHESTER United showed there is still life without the charasmatic Cristiano Ronaldo with a championship's kind of performance that brought the Premier League Title to Old Trafford last season to demolish Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium, yesterday.

Last season it was Portugal's favourite son, Cristiano Ronaldo broke the heart  of many Arsenal fans this time around another Portuguese's Nani stole the limelight at the Emirates with some breathtaking display.

Earlier, Arsene Wenger had high hopes for his men could produce another classy performance to emulate their 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford against the former champions. But Nani's and co prove otherwise and brought the home side down to earth in front of their home fans.

Both teams did started well with fast attacking display from end to end that lives to the both fans expectation. Arsenal looks to have create more chances through Andre Arshavin but the Russian blew it. Muffing several golden opportunities with only Arsenal former legend Thiery Henry could have easily deliver in that sort kind of situation which did cost the home side the match.

Judging the performance of goalkeeper Manuel Almunia seems not helping at all. Again his blunder gave the visitor a 1-0 lead. He completely misjudged Nani's cross from the right and instead palmed the ball into his own net.

Before the home side could put up their act together, Wayne Rooney added Arsenal misery with Manchester United second goal. The striker cooly finished off the move he started right from United's half combines well  with Nani to give the visitor a 2-0 lead before the break.

In the second half Arsenal uplift the tempo but again their were on the recieveing end when Korean's Park Ji Sung scored United third goal. Arsenal reduced the deficit 3-1  through  defender Thomas Vermalaen but it was already to late to save the match.
