STALEMATE AT VILLA PARK
Benteke and Arteta going for the ball |
ARSENAL was not quite up to the mark against Aston Villa at Villa Park last night. Things doesn't seem to go their way and with the slippery pitch - did not help either for Arsene Wenger side. Wenger made three changes to the line-up by resting skipper Thomas Vermaelen, Bacary Sagna and Jack Wilshire with Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Aaron Ramsey in their respective position.

A MUCH BETTER DISPLAY
ARSENAL continued to march into the knock-out stages for the 13th consecutive straight run in the Champions League with a 2-0 win against Montpellier at Emirates, last night. Midfielder Jack Wilshire scoring his first goal after his long lay-off in 50th minute before Lukas Podolski grabbed the Gunners second in the 63rd minute.
Truly last night it was a much better display shown by the Arsene Wenger side. There is little bit of composure and confidence but cohesion wise the rusty is still there. Overall the performance level is showing sign there are going on right direction.
Knowing the visitor is already out of the competition, Arsenal needing a win to qualify and hopes a Schalke win will see them both through into the quarter-finals. And it did which saw Arsenal won 2-0 and the Bundesliga's side winning at home 1-0 against the Greek's champion-Olympiacos.
Arsene Wenger made only one changes with Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain made the starting line up on the right taking over Theo Walcott who was injured in their last Premier League match against Spurs.

ARSENAL BACK FROM THE DEAD.
SPURS manager Andre Villas-Boas strategy by deploying Emannuel Adebayor upfront to partner Jermain Defoe hoping the Togolese international could hurt Arsenal and his former boss Arsene Wenger and turns the Emirates to boo their team - backfired.

Gervinho..man in form for Arsenal |
Arsenal started unconvincingly and they
certainly looks lethargic despite playing at the Emirates. With the rain
starting to pour in, the slippery pitch didn’t help it either and the home side
struggling to get their act together.

ARSENAL MUST PUT THINGS RIGHT TONIGHT
PREVIEW:-
Olympiakos go into Wednesday’s Champions League Group B clash at the Emirates Stadium tonight without leading goalscorer Rafik Djebbour and defensive lynchpin Vasilis Torosidis.
They face a determined Arsenal side desperate to get back to winning ways following defeat against Chelsea last Saturday.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will know all about Wednesday’s Champions Leagues opponents after being pitted with the Greek champions for the third time in four seasons in Europe.
Last season’s fixture in north London saw Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain net his first Arsenal goal, while the reverse game in Piraeus finished 3-1 to a powerful Olympiacos side.
