STALEMATE AT VILLA PARK

Benteke and Arteta going for the ball

ARSENAL was not quite up to the mark against Aston Villa at Villa Park last night. Things doesn't seem to go their way and with the slippery pitch - did not help either for Arsene Wenger side. Wenger made three changes to the line-up by resting skipper Thomas Vermaelen, Bacary Sagna and Jack Wilshire with Kieran Gibbs, Carl Jenkinson and Aaron Ramsey in their respective position.

A MUCH BETTER DISPLAY

ARSENAL continued to march into the knock-out stages for the 13th consecutive straight run in the Champions League with a 2-0 win against Montpellier at Emirates, last night. Midfielder Jack Wilshire scoring his first goal after his long lay-off in 50th minute before Lukas Podolski grabbed the Gunners second in the 63rd minute.

Truly last night it was a much better display shown by the Arsene Wenger side. There is little bit of composure and confidence but cohesion wise the rusty is still there. Overall the performance level is showing sign there are going on right direction.

Knowing the visitor is already out of the competition, Arsenal needing a win to qualify and hopes a Schalke win will see them both through into the quarter-finals. And it did which saw Arsenal won 2-0 and the Bundesliga's side winning at home 1-0 against the Greek's champion-Olympiacos.

Arsene Wenger made only one changes with Alex-Oxlade-Chamberlain made the starting line up on the right taking over Theo Walcott who was injured in their last Premier League match against Spurs.

ARSENAL BACK FROM THE DEAD.

Emmanuel Adebayor one foot high challenge turn the tide into Arsenal favour.

SPURS manager Andre Villas-Boas strategy by deploying Emannuel Adebayor upfront to partner Jermain Defoe hoping the Togolese international could hurt Arsenal and his former boss Arsene Wenger and turns the Emirates to boo their team - backfired.

FULHAM MADE ARSENAL SWEAT

Arsenal got their first Premier league penalty but Arteta blew it
ARSENAL once again just fail to hang on to their 2-0 lead against Fulham at the Emirates on Saturday but they were made to sweat to clinch a 3-3 draw. The Gunners drew first blood with a fine taken goal by Olivier Giroud in the 11th minute for his first Premier League goal at the Emirates. Podolski then made it 2-0 in the 23rd minute with a simple tap in from Mikel Arteta.

ARSENAL HANGS ON BY THE TEETH

Theo Walcott scored Arsenal first goal in the 18th min
ARSENAL clung on to claim a point against Schalke in the Champions League at Veltins Arena, despite being 2-0 up after 26 minutes, Schalke came back to grab a vital point at home. Arsene Wenger repaid Theo Walcott's recent good form with a start tonight, and it appears to have paid off when Walcott put the Gunners ahead in 18th min, nipping in to tap into an empty net, before Olivier Giroud grabbed his first ever Champions League goal with a well-executed diving header from Lukas Podolski's cross six minutes later.

WENGER NEEDS A LOT OF CATCHING UP TO DO

ARSENAL trip to Old Trafford on Saturday can be considered as lucky for not being hammered severely by the Manchester United front men. The 2-1 scoreline did not totally really reflect the actual game itself.
