ARSENAL will land Lukas Podolski after the
11 million striker snubbed Manchester United. The German ace is set to earn £5.2m a year when he joins the Gunners from Cologne.
Although United are the current Premier League champions and Arsenal have not won a trophy for seven years, Podolski was lured to the Emirates by boss Arsene Wenger, who speaks fluent German.
Podolski, 26, has 95 caps for his country and spent three years at German giants Bayern Munich before returning to his home-town club Cologne for a second spell in 2009.
His move to London was due to be confirmed this week but was put on hold as Cologne are struggling in the Bundesliga.
Gunners' German international Per Mertesacker has also told his pal he would enjoy life in North London.
